San Mateo County
COVID-19 Resiliency Campaign
The San Mateo County Our Comeback campaign was created during the height of COVID-19. The task was to raise awareness about the importance of working together to combat the spread of COVID-19. The second phase of the campaign shifted to a more direct call for resiliency and also an increase in creative for specific communities. After the vaccine was made available to everyone, the third phase of this campaign pushed the importance of getting vaccinated and boosted. The creative was translated into Spanish, Chinese, and Tagalog to ensure everyone within the county was able to receive the important health message. The campaign included targeted television, digital, print and out-of-home collateral.
Building on the heartfelt message of Phase 1, the campaign's new visual featured a heart and shield symbolizing safety and defense against the virus. This graphic element aimed to soften the stark reality of the situation, making the campaign's message more persuasive to those who were still undecided about the vaccine. The campaign reassured the audience that it's not too late to make the choice, appealing to those who’d been holding back to see how things unfolded.
